It is ridiculously important for me to do creative projects for myself on the side as I always have visual stories going on in my head. I have a brain that is like a canvas with colours and paint all over in there, waiting to be used to create something that feel with my soul.
This year has been a challenge and I thought I should push myself to get out of my studio and perhaps take advantage of the scapes we have her in and around Toronto. What would be something that was delicate and could cover the emotion of grace. Sexy and graceful? Enter in my mind… a beach shoot!
That’s IT!
I scouted the areas in Peel region and Hamilton. I wanted a spot that had good sandy beach with some scenery behind to get the feel of what was generating in my mind. I picked Scarborough Bluffs as I wanted to see what I could do there without travelling too much outside the city. Now my creative juices were overloaded.
I asked these two gorgeous ladies to model for me and I gathered the outfits I needed. It had to be a sunset shoot, in the gorgeousness of the last minutes of the golden hour. I had literally 30 minutes to shoot after we all got there!
Not gonna lie…I am a fast shooter. I don’t linger on and neither do I need to take a billion shots. I know what’s in my head and I visualize it and there it is. In front of me. CLICK. And. DONE. These two made it easy as they know their expressions and it is easier to guide them. They were ready and so was I. The light…DIVINE!
It was incredible to see all of it UNFOLD. The dresses, the water, the sand, and the sky. It all came together in unison. My heart was skipping a lot of beats with excitement. Or maybe it was because of the time constraint! LOL!!
I had such a dreamy time that evening with these two beautiful ladies. I think, I’m ready to add Beach Portrait Experiences to my services! SIMPLE. GLORIOUS. BEAUTIFUL.
